My last few articles have been focused on examining the seven days of Biblical Genesis by means of several apparently unrelated systems. These systems are the I-Ching, astrology, and the close-packing of equal spheres.
In my previous article, I went through the seven days as decrypted through sphere packing. This article is going to use astrology as a key to the text, with a bit of sphere packing thrown in where relevant.
The Basics of Astrology
When people hear the term astrology, they think of the popularised form as found in periodicals that tell you how your day will be based on your Sun sign, which is shared by about 8% of the population.
This article is not concerned with astrology as a system of fortune-telling, but rather as a system for encrypting information. At the same time, I’m fairly certain that it is astrology’s use as a system of divination that has ensured that it has come down to us with its traditions intact.
Astrology in its traditional form has two major components. These are planets and signs. The astrology of the ancients used seven planets, excluding Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto which had not been discovered yet. Do note that the term ‘planet’ means…
