AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Associate

I passed AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Associate in June 2022.

My preparation:

  • I started using AWS probably 3 years ago, but mostly just EC2 and S3
  • I started watching Neal Davis training video a year ago and followed some of the lab sessions
  • I finished Jon Bonso’ practice exam and attempted most of them twice or 3 times

what I feels expected:

- different S3 storage classes
- different EC2 types
- gateway endpoint vs interface endpoint
- volume gateway vs file gateway
- DataSync
- CloudFront/Lambda
- Cloudtrail/cloudwatch
- encryption
- ELB/AGS/EC2
- EBS/EFS
- SNS/SQS
- KDS/RDS/Aurora/DynamoDB

what is unexpected:

- I feel quite a hurry to finish 65 questions in 140 mins
- most exam questions are longer than practice exams
- probably 50/65 questions requires some thinking and reasoning
- quite a few questions on QuickSight/splunk/ECS/EKS

my personal notes:
