9 countries. 101 states, provinces, and territories. 158 cities, counties, and regions. The Cicero database aims to have the most comprehensive coverage of democracy in the world, and we’re just getting started. Over the next few months, we’ll be expanding to cover every city with a population of greater than 100,000 in the United States.

Luckily, we will be using digital files

That means we’ll have elected official contact info (including social media information) for Mayor and local City Council positions in over 200 more cities than we currently cover — from Plano, Texas (population 283,558) to Renton, Washington (population 100,242). All total, we’ll be covering local, state and national elected officials representing about 100 million people in the U.S. This database expansion is supported through our new partnership with BallotReady.

And we’ll be providing all of this additional data on districts and representatives at no increase in price to our API or District Match customers. Follow our Medium blog and our Twitter for more updates on our local data expansion!
