The birds are chirping, the days are longer, and the weather is finally starting to thaw: Spring is almost here! In the world of elections and politics, that means state legislatures are in session and legislators are hard at work.

Since the U.S. General Election last November, the Cicero team has been making updates to the database daily. We entered newly elected officials into the database as soon as elections were called. As cities and states began updating their websites with new contact information, the team added phone numbers, email addresses, room numbers, and social media accounts to Cicero. We’re finishing up our final pass on these new officials, but all basic contact information is now available in Cicero! Check it out for yourself.

Look up your newly elected officials

There are several ways to access Cicero data. We offer bulk address matching, an API, and custom data licenses. But if you just want to learn about your own representatives, use our free Officials & Districts tool.

Our Philadelphia office is represented by newly elected State Senator Nikil Saval

Visit live.cicerodata.com to start. Simply enter your address and you can view your National, State, and Local legislators, along with their contact information. You can view national and state data in all 9 counties that we cover, and in the 400+ cities and counties we cover in the U.S. and Canada. When the decennial redistricting process kicks off this fall, you’ll also be able to view future districts.

Match your members to their new representatives

Whether you’re preparing for an advocacy day at Capitol Hill, or you just want to make sure your contact list is up to date for the next time you run an action alert, now is the time to refresh your list. The simplest way to do that is by running a District Match project through Cicero. Simply upload a spreadsheet of addresses (as a CSV), select which data you want matched, and download your results. For more on how to update the addresses in your CRM, read this blog.

If you’re not sure the best way to incorporate this data into your work, please contact us! We’d love to hear from you and think of a solution together!
