League of Legends: A Guide for Noobs

League of Legends is a very popular game these days. And it’s actually getting more and more popular. So if you’re interested on playing the game, but have no one to teach you, read on.
First, you must select your champion and before the game starts, you must set your runes, masteries, and summoner spells. There are four kinds of runes and they are: Mark (9 runes per page), Seal (9 runes per page), Glyph (9 runes per page), Quintessence (3 runes per page), and you can find them in the account store. You can add points of mastery depending on what summoner level you’re in and the maximum level is 30 (if you’re at level 30, then 30 points will be added). You can unlock new summoner spells as you level outside the game. To level up, you must play to gain “exp” after every battle (win or lose). When you reach level 30, you may play the ranked game. This game mode will tell you what division you will be depending on how many wins you have.
Ranks
So there are 6 ranks and they are Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Challengers, and Masters. The first 4 have 5 stages (e.g silber 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1).
In Store
This is where you can purchase your champions, runes, akins, icons, wards, etc. You can buy champions using ip or rp. Runes have 3 tiers: tier 1 is for levels 1–10, tier 2 is for levels 11–20, and tier 3 is for level 21–30). Each tier has the 4 kinds of runes we talked about before (Mark, Seal, Glypg, and Quintessence) and they can only be bought using ip.
You can buy skins if you’ve purchased a champion and can be obtained through either of these three: a mystery gift (59 rp), manual purchase, and hextech loot.
Icons can be purchased by 1 ip or rp only. Some are bundled with skins and some can be obtained by hextech loot.
Wards can be pirchased using rp and some are also bundled with their skins and can be obtains by hextech loot.
You can obtain ip after every battle (win or lose). Rp will be obtained by buying a Garena shell card and entering the card number and password. You can obtain hextech loot by using these two: Convert 3 key fragmenta to 1 hextech key or a hextech box.
Playing the game:
The game starts after queuing and selecting your champion. There are a total of 7 slots to stock an item, 6 slots for the main items, and 1 slot for trinkets. Trinkets can be upgraded if you reach level 9.
Tou should buy items according to the role of your champion. For example, you chose to be the tank of the team, so you should buy items with high armor, magic resist, and health.
During the game, there are pings, and their purpose is to notify or warn the teammate whether there’s an enemy near or to call for help, or to notify them that the enemy is missing.
Inside the game, there are monster camps, and they give buffs to champions. Junglers’ role is to camp around the jungle or roam around lanes to kill or assist.
There are 3 major jungle monsters in Summoner’s
Rift: Rift Herald — killing it and using to destroy the tower would be the best strategy to win.
Dragons (revives every 6 minutes) Infernal Drake — gives extra attack damage and ability power.
Mountain Drake — gives extra damage to turrets and monsters. Cloud Drake — gives extra movement, and speed while out of combat. Ocean Drake — gives extra health and manage regeneration outside combat.
Elder Dragon — basic attack and spells. They burn the target and increases Drake’s buff by 5090. Baron — takes place of Rift Heraldat exactly 20 minutes into the game. It gives a lot of buff such as recall time reduction, movement speed, damage reduction, and gives extra buff to your minions. This is what different teams are fighting for.
Lastly, there are towers. They are called turrets. They serve as your weapon to bait your enemy by hooking and also serves as your shield because it will attack nearby enemies who attacks your teammates pr you. There are minions inside the game. Last hitting enemy minions will give you gold coins to buy things you need inside the game. Winning team fight clashes gives you a very high chance of winning the game. After the game, you can honor one of your teammates especially those who are very friendly, outstanding, and very patient. You can also report the team or enemy for violating or quitting.
