Introduction

Tekken is a fighting video game and was published by a franchise called NAMCO/Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Tekken was one of the first fighting games at the time to use 3D animation. The series has been adapted into three films and other media.

There are seven main installments to the series, one installment having an updated version that also made a home release, two non-canonical installments, and a seventh mainline game released on Japanese arcades on 2015 and PC and console on June 2, 2017.

Sony PlayStation games including Tekken are written in their own SDK has been entirely using C programming languages.

Tekken has also made many trilogy originally came from PlayStation.

1997–1998: Tekken 3

2004–2007: Tekken 5
2007–2011: Tekken 6
2011–2015: Tekken Tag Tournament 2

And the latest I’ve known so far was Tekken 7

2015: Tekken 7

Tekken is popular because it is different from many other fighting games.

It was the first game that had taken away focus from “special moves” to kicks and punches strung together in creative means to cause massive damage.

Air juggles, combos, multiple fighting styles, mapping buttons against limbs — all of these became the signature of the Tekken series.

Also, it was one of the earliest adopters of 3D. Before Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and King of Fighters were the big three fighting games. But none of those ventured in to 3D for a long time, and during that period, Tekken got very popular and became and undisputed king of 3D fighting games.

Unlike SF or MK, each and every character in Tekken feels unique. Even if a few fighters share fighting styles, their moves are quite different.

The most innovative thing to come from the series was assigning buttons against limbs, e.g. one button causes the character to punch with his left hand, while the other three initiates a right hand punch, a left foot kick and a right foot kick. Combining right and left moves unleashes devastating combos, which are both nice to look at and satisfying to deliver.

There are very few fictitious/fantasy moves in the game. This means, there’s no fireball, psycho crusher, ice attack or petrifying move. Punishment is delivered through real world fighting techniques like wrestling, tae kwan do, kung fu, karate and street brawling.

Overall, Tekken has established itself as a creative and realistic fighting game. Most fighting games have space for creative players to create new combos, but Tekken simply took things to a different level.

Just look at any combo video and you will understand.

Katsuhiro Harada and Seiichi Ishii both developed and produced the Tekken series even though Seiichi Ishii has only helped for the first two Tekken games, before founding his own company, The Dream Factory. The trilogy still continues where both Katsuhiro Harada and Seiichi Ishii have made Tekken trilogy started. Being a game developer is hard if you don’t know what you are aiming for. It’s a pure hard work and determination sometimes the rewards can benefit all of the times you had focused during the working progress. With the help of each one another for the development team the better result will be in progress and success will be the one to pay for all of your hard works. Nothing is impossible if you are willing to do anything for what you love. But it is impossible for you to accomplished something better if you go beyond to the point of having a good purpose.
