Appointments to PICISOC Board

On 27 September, the recently elected Board of the Pacific Islands Chapter of the Internet Society (PICISOC) met to appoint its officers. The Board officers are:

· Chair: Emani Fakaotimanava-Lui (Niue/NZ)

· Vice Chair Policy: Anju Mangal (Fiji/New Caledonia)

· Vice Chair Technical: Andrew Molivurae (Vanuatu)

· Secretary: Maureen Hilyard (Cook Islands)

· Treasurer: Radhika Cherie Lagakali (Fiji)

The Board has notified members of the appointments, and has also sought their approval for a change in the bylaws to appoint two Vice Chairs — one to take charge of technical issues and the other to coordinate policy development processes, especially in relation to consultation with the members. Their next meeting is on 11 October, 2018.
