India’s first Food & Agri-Business Accelerator
CIIE has joined hands with the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) to launch India’s first Food & Agri-Business Accelerator program, to propel expansion-ready or pilot stage food & agri-business startups to the next level through hands-on capacity building workshop, mentorship from industry experts, and seed funding. The cohort of selected start-ups will be working with the CIIE and NAARM team for a period 3 months (July-September 2015). Support provided to the cohort will include an intensive capacity building workshop, individual mentoring & advisory support and investor demo day. In addition, the teams will get access to technology and business development assistance through our network of program partners. Two teams from the program will be selected to receive seed funding of INR 30,00,000 each. The Program is aimed towards start-up teams working in the following sectors:
- Farm mechanization
- Precision farming
- Sustainable inputs
- New post-harvesting technology and techniques
- Healthy / innovative food technology
- Farm fresh retail
- Supply chain technology
- ICT for sustainable agriculture
- Soil, water and weather technologies
- IoT and hardware application for agriculture
