Tyler Sheilds takes the mind on a path into forbidden territory. His work towards idolizing the 7 deadly sins is what makes me drawn towards his photography. Shields takes the world of lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, pride and transforms it into some of the most powerful + provocative photographs the eye could ever FEEL.

These photographs really got to me because they take on a certain aspect of human nature, one which is blinded by the darkness of religion, morality, and authority. Shields pushes the boundaries of the “dark mind” and makes us want to engage with the 7 Deadly Sins. His “artwork” magnifies and adds life(including our own) to the magnificent world of crude culture.
