These days, it’s rare for a single movie or TV show to take the world by storm. It seems like there are a hundred different streaming services, in addition to the million different channels on regular TV — how in the world are we going to find something to all agree on? How can one piece of work capture all of our attention?

Despite the odds, there have been a few times in 2020 where it seemed like everyone (both in real life and online) was watching the exact same thing. And the content that has largely captivated us this year has been “limited series.” I never would’ve guessed that!

These are somewhere in the middle of a movie and a TV show. These 7–10 episode series seem to fit in that happy medium: they are entertaining enough to be binge-worthy without feeling like too much of a time investment.
