Science fiction is, by far, my favorite genre of media. You can probably tell based on the way it has overtaken my article offerings. Recently, I’ve explored a lot of recent releases and hidden gems, but in this list, I’d like to shed light on some classics that have absolutely stolen my heart. Though I never got the chance to see any of these in theaters, I imagine the experience must have been unparalleled.
Quick disclaimer, though, if you did see any of these in theaters, I’m not saying you’re old! The term “classic” refers to films that — in my opinion — have become the backbone of the genre overall.
So, without further ado, here are the five classic sci-fi films I can’t get enough of! I hope you enjoy them!
