I suppose I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t expecting a rom-com with Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum about the Apollo 11 mission. Romantic comedies seemed to lose their sparkle recently, so I was not enthusiastic about this one. However, somehow I ended up watching the new Greg Berlanti’s movie ‘Fly Me To The Moon.’ And it was better than I expected it to be.

The biggest advantage of this romantic comedy is that it’s not a classic in its genre, mainly because of its unusual premise. The main character, Kelly Jones (played by Scarlett Johansson), gets recruited by NASA to repair its public image after failed missions to put a man on the moon. Bright and experienced in advertising, Kelly is forced to work with grumpy launch director Cole Davis (Channing Tatum). As they develop feelings for each other, Kelly is directed to secretly fake a moon landing in case the Apollo 11 mission fails, which puts their relationship in danger.

With a quite nice poster and unusual premise, this movie was (not surprisingly) a fun watch, but not much more. Packed…
