It was around late November when I got the chance to watch Netflix’s, Sweet Home. Just from the trailer alone, I know it is going to be good! And man good is an understatement after binge-watching it in one day; can season 2 drop any sooner?

The Story

It was based on the comic of the same name by Kim Kan-bi and Kwang Young-chan. It follows the story of Cha Hyun-soo, an orphan who lost his due to a tragic accident. Cha Hyun-soo was a bullied high school student, who was suicidal and depressed; it also didn’t help that his family didn’t care even though they knew what he was going through.

After his loss, Cha Hyun-soo moved in into his new apartment. A few days after moving strange things started occurring and before Cha Hyun-soo can realize it — a lot of tenants are turning into monsters. There was no clear information as to how people turn into monsters, they can only link it to desires. It was said that a person turns when they give in or can’t resist their desires. Cha-Hyun-soo soon became infected, but what puzzled him was he can return to normal; he wasn’t savage like the others. Cha Hyun-soo doesn’t die and can regenerate when he takes a nap…
