Gangs of London — Sky Atlantic (2020)

Gangs of London is a nine-episode, British, Action-Crime Drama Television Series that premiered on Sky Atlantic in April 2020. It tells the story of the top criminal organization family in the capital; the Wallace’s, and their slow breakdown after the murder of its patriarch Finn Wallace.

The series has some great characters, was effortlessly diverse, and showed us that the world of suits and ties was just as brutal as the ones with trainers and tracksuits.

One thing you can’t do is watch this series without commenting on the violence, and the first ten minutes of episode one sets the tone of things to come. Stylistic, perfectly choreographed, and with some standing ovation worthy cinematography — it only adds to the strength of the series.

Granted violence for the sake of violence is often cringe-worthy, cheap and poorly done, but when it is embedded into the foundation of a movie or a television series, it deserves its own appreciation.

This list undoubtedly contains spoilers so if you were planning to watch Gangs of London I suggest saving this list and coming back once you have.
