So… the work keeps piling up…

At the beginning of the week, we defined our Playtesting Plan. And what is this? Well, as the name says, it’s a plan that we will follow when testing the game with the players. This plan consists in letting the volunteer play by himself/herself while saying what is thinking. After the play session, we ask for him/her to answer a questionnaire about the experience. We also want to create log files with the in-game operations but we still need to look better into it.

Related to the game itself, during this week, I continued developing the GameController. With load and save functionalities and all that has to to with the levels. I made the LevelController. This way, the GameController “only” has the responsibility of controlling the whole game. He is the one who controls all the controllers.

Regarding the CreatorController and the level editing, now it is no longer possible to edit the level while the simulation is running. I also started making the resources limited. However, I need to put the latter on hold to focus on creating a menu where the player can choose the level that they wants to play. This is still in progress but I’m almost done.

We are almost at the end but there is still a lot of cool features we want to include in the game. We will do our best. Wish us luck!

“See” you next week.
