And it’s done!!

So this week we had MOJO!!
For those who don’t know that is, MOJO is an event where we, students from the Game Development Methodology course (MDJ for close friends), showcase the games that we have been developing during the semester. This event is the course’s Climax.

Normally, this happens at the campus in TagusPark, with each team having their corner where the players can come and play our game. They come and have fun!

Well… this year we have the virus situation… yey…
Because of this situation, the event was done online.
There was a stream live on Facebook, where each team was interviewed and talked about their game.
In discord, there was a server for the teams to test and comment on each other’s games.

The streaming part, I think it was a really good idea. Next year and the ones that follow, even if the MOJO can again be in person, I think the live interviews should continue. TagusPark has enough space to mount a panel to interview and stream the new teams.

On the other end, we have the discord server… Well in itself it’s a good idea, but I think it should have been done at the beginning of the semester for all teams to have a quick way to communicate between them. However, in the MOJO context, this was not a great idea, at least for our team. We didn’t even have handful of people talked to us and tried our game. If t was done in person we would have a lot more players than we had. Maybe they were unsure because our game was a mobile, we even published a PC version. Who knows what happened?

Oh well, what is done is done.

For those of you who are interested in our game, here is our tchi.io page.
