Hello hello, we are back after another week of hard work, and lot’s of unity wrangling.

This week was quite productive for the team as we all picked up where we left off, with our work all organized in our handy little Trello board and new-found motivation thanks to the valuable feedback we got from our peers!🤗

I’d like you to focus your attention on the left column, no need to read the rest ;)

In all seriousness, we are very thankful we got to read some generally blind and unbiased critical feedback! This made us aware of some of the main issues we are facing right now and plan accordingly for the future. Plus it seems, despite the general confusion, people were keen on the game idea and general look of the game. That’s a success in my book!

For me, these past few days have been all about touch input, gestures, and Android builds. After laying out the groundwork with the systems for the last dev cycle we made it a point to make sure we started developing directly for the mobile platform, effective immediately!

This meant somebody got to play around with refactoring input control and adapting all the existing features for tactile interactability, all the while making sure to preserve mouse control since it’s crucial for rapid testing and for sharing the game easily.

Guess who got that lucky ticket! 👉🙂👈

Pinch to zoom, Two fingers to pan and click and drag to move objects on the board!

Other than this I fixed bugs, organized some cards, and did a bit of work behind the scenes to start preparing some stuff that’s not ready to be shown yet. Quality of life improvements are on their way through, tips and tutorialization to help reduce all that unwanted confusion!

Oh! and level design, I heard that’s important too… Who would have thought that making a game wasn’t just about building systems? You have to make content too? Unbelievable.

Anyway, I hope all is good with you and I’ll see you next week, for another devlog!

Have a good weekend 😎
