Delivery Crunch and Planning

Hey hey! It’s already been another week already huh? Time flies…

This week was quite stressful due to the delivery that happened on Wednesday. The days prior to submission we were working almost constantly to get as much of the base functionality in there as possible. In the end, though we couldn’t do as much as we wanted and some bugs got introduced in that last bit of the sprint, I can say I am quite proud of what we were able to accomplish. What the prototype lacks in content, I feel, it makes up in system design and flexibility.

Level Editor: dragging tiles around and changing shape dynamically!

Yesterday, Manel got the prototype working on Android and we all tried running the apk. I’m glad to report that even as it is right now and with little additional work, the game is surprisingly functional and even better, quite performant on a mid-range 4/5-year-old phone!

Running really smoothly and with functioning touch controls!

This development inspired us to get right back to work and make the most out of the following 5 weeks. We began this dev-cycle by carefully going over all the work that needs to be done, prioritizing each addition, and assigning it on our trello board. And… as you’ll notice… we now have a list for bugs. Still needs filling out …😄

I have a feeling that list will come in handy ;)

So everything is pretty much in high gear to get some work done! Now its a matter of getting our hands busy, once again.

See you next week! 😎
