The partnership provides a platform to introduce Circus, an innovative and sustainable HR platform for the entertainment industry, to one of Canada’s largest independent filmmaking communities in Vancouver.

“We’re thrilled to support the Crazy8s, one of the most exciting events for filmmaking in Canada and the perfect platform to support our emerging content creators. We’re also excited to provide the right tools that allow these filmmakers to focus on telling great stories — not dealing with paperwork, such as start packs.” said Daniel Domachowski, CoFounder of Circus Technologies Inc.

Each of the winning teams will have the opportunity to utilize Circus to onboard their cast and crew without using a single sheet of paper. The platform allows Content Creators to invite their production team to create their very own work profile and securely store essential production related items such as residency docs, payroll details and health concerns. When cast and crew are onboarded onto one of the Crazy8s productions, all they have to do is sign any relevant documents, such as deal memos, with their mobile device in seconds and join their colleagues in the world’s most advanced and real-time crew list.

“Circus coming on board as a presenting sponsor to Crazy8s is a game-changer,” said Paul Armstrong, Co-Executive Director, Crazy8s. “With their support, we can now do so much more for the filmmakers and help get their films out to a wider international audience. The teams are also working in such a fast-paced environment so using their software to deal with all our required paperwork will give them more time to get their films just right for our Gala screening in February.”

A former Producer of past films such as Hello Destroyer (TIFF Top 10), Bloody Knuckles (Fantasia) and Pour Retourner (Tribeca, Clermont-Ferrand), Daniel Domachowski will also be one of the judges for the live pitches and script stages to help the festival discover and foster BC’s newest talent.

About Circus Technologies Inc.
After over a decade of creating content in fast-paced environments with limited resources, CoFounder and Producer/PM Daniel Domachowski grew frustrated with the mountains of paperwork and inefficient workflows available to onboard cast and crew onto productions. With a growing talent pool and an increase in content volume, Canadian Creators had no automated platform to manage and hire over 1.5M crew in North America — until now. Located in Vancouver, BC, Circus is the most advanced HR solution for the entertainment industry and is committed to developing sustainable tools that enrich and support not only independent content creators but medium to studio-sized productions as well. In addition to developing software, Circus also produces the monthly podcast series ‘Below the Line’, which illuminates the most often overlooked in the storytelling industry — its crew. The podcast will launch in the fall of 2018.
