Snort Offers $10,000 College Scholarship

Snort, the organization behind the open-source IDS of the same name, is offering a $10,000 college scholarship to qualified applicants.

The application process is fairly simple. Students looking to qualify need to a high school graduate; be attending or planning to attend a qualified school; seeking a degree in computer science, information technology, computer networking, cyber security or similarly related field; and fill out a short application with five questions.

The application period started March 1 and will end April 3 at 5 p.m. ET.
