Watch Out Nicki and Rihanna
Alright now I know the title doesn’t fit with the page that it’s on, but if you watched Game 1 of the NBA Finals and the NBA award show, or payed any attention to the social media around that time, you’d know that these people are being stared down by NBA superstars, but for different reasons. They are all entertaining nonetheless.
Kevin Durant you’re first. Let me set the scene. It was Game 1 of this year’s NBA Finals, and Kevin Durant went off scoring 38 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and dishing 8 assists. A well documented LeBron James fan in Rihanna apparently yelled “BRICK!!” when Kevin Durant was taking a free throw. Later in the game he hit a three-pointer and he stared down Rihanna. This turned into a field day for the media. KD claims that they don’t have beef, but it’s funny nonetheless. He definitely looks like he doesn’t want to answer the question and quickly avoids it.
James Harden you’re next. Nicki Minaj did a performance during the award show, and at the end, she blew a kiss. A reporter will probably get a raise for this picture.
This is the face he made during her performance. Now this won’t totally help him cope for him not winning the MVP, but it’ll help. This is one of those pictures that will turn into a pretty good meme. James Harden looks like he’s about to pursue Nicki after the award show.
Now to Rihanna and Nicki, watch out. Rihanna will probably get crap for this the next time she goes to a Warriors game, and KD might get some as well. Nicki should watch out for James Harden. He might show up to random parties that you’re gonna throw, but maybe you want him there. Who knows. These are just two instances of where the media had a frenzy about a NBA superstar and a pop culture icon.
