In this article, we will show you how to stake $XCT via Citadel.one platform.
Future XCT holders are recommended to stake their tokens to become Citadel.one Governance Members. Even if all XCT in circulation are staked it will still be an APY of ~960% from day one! As soon as all pools are closed and tokens are fully redeemed, users will be able to stake XCT tokens on Citadel.one platform and get these insane APY! Keep in mind that this APY won’t last long. How to start getting rewards for staking $XCT with Citadel.one?
First, you must have a wallet. There are two options for how you can do this. You can import an existing wallet or create a new one inside our platform:
Option 1. You can import a seed phrase from Metamask or other wallets to Citadel.one. This is completely safe, because Citadel.one is a non-custodial platform (we don’t keep your keys!). You will find a detailed explanation of the whole process in steps 1–7 below.
Option 2. Users can create our signature one-seed wallet, transfer $XCT (and some $BNB for gas) to your new born account and enjoy seamless experience and gains with Citadel.one. In this step-by-step guide, you will learn how to stake your $XCT tokens, the native token of citadel.one using the citadel one web app. For this tutorial we are using a chrome browser, however the process is the same with other browsers. Staking through the web app is a simple process and only involves a few steps:
Step 1: Set up your Citadel.one Web Wallet
First thing to do is to go to the web application URL on your prefered browser. Choose one of the options provided to set up your wallet. For the sake of this tutorial we are going to import an existing address with $XCT tokens already available, remember to have a bit of $BNB for transaction fees.
If you click on import existing wallet you get several options to import your wallet keys, we will go with restore one seed phrase option where we can input our recovery phrase.
Click on next then you can input your seed phrase.
You will be prompted to select a network, we are to select the binance smart chain option and click next.
And that’s it — congratulations, you successfully set up your citadel.one wallet. Now it’s time to start staking.
Step 2: Stake $XCT tokens on Citadel.one
In the token section on your screen click on XCT tokens, the menu below is modified to be able to take actions with your XCT tokens.
Click on the stake menu.
Here you can see the number of XCT tokens you have available. We go ahead and click on the stake button. You will be prompted to insert the number of tokens you want to stake.
Click on stake, you will be prompted to enter your wallet password.
Once you click on the confirm button, you have successfully staked your XCT tokens.
