On Tuesday, May 14th, while waiting in the car as her husband was shopping for groceries, Cindy Marmolejos saw she had an alert from Citizen.

SEARCH FOR MISSING WOMAN’ it said.

Cindy opened the incident to find a detailed description: ‘The missing 68-year-old white woman is 5’8" and was last seen wearing black jeans, black sneakers, a long beige sweater and a black coat.’

Then she looked up.

“I was looking from my car window at the people passing by and noticed the lady walking back and forth, and also looked like she was talking to herself,” Cindy told us.

“She looked lost and afraid. She fit the description of the missing lady on the app so I started broadcasting to see if someone could identify her.”

As she broadcast video, people in the Citizen chat immediately began commenting.
