The Citizens Advice service is a charity and has delivered independent and impartial advice for over 80 years. We’re at the forefront of advice delivery and were the first national advice services to introduce a quality framework.
People have confidence in our advice, and we take our duty to provide impartial and independent advice seriously — we believe it’s a human right.
The Citizens Advice service across Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale and Trafford has highly-trained, professional and experienced advisers assisted by trained volunteers, available to help with any issue, whoever you are and whatever your problem.
We also have many specialist colleagues, caseworkers and solicitors who can provide casework and legal representation in Welfare Benefits, Energy, Money & Debt, and Housing.
As a charity, we’re the only advice agency in Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale and Trafford to be externally quality-assured and accredited by all of the following organisations:

In addition, our trustee board ensures your feedback is at the heart of our annual improvement plans, meaning we collect and monitor our client’s and colleagues’ feedback and use it to transform our services.
