Huawei expands in Bellevue

News yesterday from the Puget Sound Business Journal that Huawei is expanding its consumer headquarters to Bellevue. The new headquarters will complement Huawei’s existing 100 person research and development office that opened in 2016.

This expansion further reinforces Bellevue and the Innovation Triangle’s prominence as a center for innovation and technology particularly among international technology companies. Bellevue is already home to a number or Chinese technology companies such as Alibaba, Tencent and Baidu. And, there presence will support the growth of the Global Innovation Exchange, a partnership between the University of Washington and Tsinghua University.
