Sound Transit hosts Developer Forum for OMF East TOD site in BelRed

Mayor John Chelminiak welcomes the commercial real estate community to Sound Transit’s Developer Forum on the forthcoming TOD site at OMF East in BelRed.

On June 19th, Sound Transit hosted a Developer Forum on the forthcoming transit-oriented development (TOD) opportunity at the Sound Transit Operations and Maintenance Facility East (OMF East) site adjacent to the future Spring District/120th Station in BelRed. This 6 ½ acre site has a Master Development Plan (MDP) that is anticipated to support over 1.1 million square feet of mixed-use development with affordable and market rate housing along with office, retail and public open space.

Held at the Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) in the Spring District (just 0.2 miles from the future development site) and attended by nearly 50 members of the commercial real estate and affordable housing development community, the forum allowed interested parties to come together to learn more about the project site and MDP. Bellevue Mayor, John Chelminiak, helped to kick things off at the event, providing attendees with the history behind this exciting public-private partnership opportunity.

More information on the OMF East site can be found here.
