Supporting small businesses in Bellevue
When you think about shopping in Bellevue — especially during the holiday season—the iconic, upscale Bellevue Collection (including Bellevue Square, Bellevue Place, and Lincoln Square) is probably the first place that comes to mind. And with good reason! With hundreds of local and international retailers, Bellevue has some of the world’s best shopping.
But did you know that Bellevue is also home to many locally-owned boutiques, restaurants, and small businesses?
In fact, most of Bellevue’s businesses are small establishments with fewer than five employees. And many of these are small retailers, local restaurants, or vital service providers. Whether it’s a boutique clothing shop on Main Street, a craft brewery in Bel-Red, or a vibrant Vietnamese restaurant at Crossroads, these businesses are truly the lifeblood of the Bellevue economy. With personal customer service and attention to detail, these establishments enhance our community by giving it the character and charm which we all know makes a place nice to live.
This Saturday, after you’ve had your fill of turkey and exhausted those big-box Black Friday deals, we encourage Bellevue residents to enjoy these local establishments and more during Small Business Saturday. Then share your experience — a food pic, a vintage find, a stellar conversation — on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram with the hashtag #MyBellevue. We’ll share our favorites right here and on our Facebook page.
