I’m really happy to announce that after months of deliberations and drafting, the Students’ Union’s new Constitution has been voted on and approved by great majority by the Student Senate on the 11th of March, 2017.

The new Constitution improves greatly on its predecessor and provides, among others, solutions and guidelines for previously undefined issues, upgrades the role and equips the Student Senate with more power and responsibilities, offers a more detailed and distinct description of the status, aims and objectives of the CSU, as well as of the general and individual duties and responsibilies of the Officers. Additionally, it’s easier to read, understand and to detect specific topics of interest. We’ve also worked with the Administration‘s feedback on issues such as the elections and their procedural execution.

The upcoming Students’ Union Spring Elections of 2017 will run based on the new Constitution, so feel free to familiarise yourself with its contents, wether you run for office this year or not.

The CSU Constitution (March 2017) is available as a .pdf on the link bellow:

As always, we’re at your disposal for any issues or suggestions you would like to communicate.
