Views of the City
Brooklyn Navy Yard
On our Instagram feed, you may have noticed a change in recent months. Well, five changes to be exact. The five winners of our #AutumnInNYC contest — one from each borough — have been taking photos from across the city and sharing their perspectives with us.
Recently, the ambassadors got a chance to walk around Brooklyn Navy Yard.
It was established in 1801, and since then, has gone from producing warships for the US Navy and treating patients from the Civil War through World War II, to now becoming a quickly expanding area of advanced manufacturing and commercial activity, and a new hub for New York City’s innovation economy.
We checked out the amazing rooftop views, saw a new building under renovation, and explored the long closed Naval Annex.
Take a look at the views below.
You can also visit Brooklyn Navy Yard on a public tour! Stay tuned for more adventures from our newest batch of Instagram Ambassadors.
