Welcome to our weekly CityStates newsletter. Through this, we will keep you updated with the latest exciting developments for CityStates games, our community events as well as to give our passionate community the chance to interact with the team or see some fantastic behind the scenes work done!
It’s hard to believe we’re already in January, but with events like the pack opening and the beta test right around the corner it’s shaping up to be another exciting month. Many of you are looking forward to opening your packs and we’re happy to be able to set a date for this event, and if you haven’t already guessed, there will be more prizes up for grabs for those taking part!
We have also made some big changes to combat in CityStates: Medieval PVP in preparation for the beta which will add new layers of decision making as well as implementing mechanics for certain units that give them more of an identity.
Weekly Game Update Summary
It’s been another busy week of testing for our team and we have not only made further strides when it comes to balancing the game, but we have also introduced new mechanics to make gameplay more engaging and strategic. We have continued to publish our balancing update articles which focus on these changes with our latest article (part 3) now available which focuses on giving melee units more of an identity as well as the ability to capture enemy tiles!

Pack Opening Event
The moment many of you have been waiting for! Our pack opening event will be taking place on Saturday 8th of January at 5pm GMT. Make sure to join us on Discord and take part in the fun where everyone can open packs on stream and spin the wheel to win even more prizes. You won’t want to miss this one!
CSM Token
The CSM token represents ownership of the CityStates IP. Holders of CSM not only show their support for the brand but will also receive royalties in the future for their participation in DAO governance of the IP development.
We’re really excited for the pack opening event later this week and everything else this month will bring, most of all the CityStates: Medieval PVP beta test! We’re also running a number of giveaways on our social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram, so if you haven’t managed to get a Silver or Bronze VIP pass, don’t worry because there’s still time to win one!
