How the TRON Network is Paving CITYUPTAKE’s Road to Success
CITYUPTAKE is a community-driven project designed to maximize the crypto holder’s returns while minimizing risk. TRON’s Super Representative (SR) model of block rewards for voters makes this possible. The combination of reliable SR rewards and the ability to tokenize gains made via trade desk using a TRC-10 token is what makes TRON and CITYUPTAKE a powerful partnership.
Why the TRON Network?
CITYUPTAKE chose to operate on the TRON network for the speed, low transaction costs, and its general ease-of-use. We share thousands of dollars worth of TRX each week and incur no transaction costs thanks to the bandwidth derived from the staking wallet. By comparison, operating on the Etherium platform would have cost roughly $3,000 in gas usage, a cost that would rise as we scale upwards.
The speed of the TRON Network is also impressive as members receive their TRX seconds after executing a simple set of python scripts. Furthermore, we limit access to rewards to members that have submitted minimal information, and even here the TRON Network makes that process relatively simple. We routinely have over 700 transactions each week that must conform to specific criteria and the flexibility offered by the TRON Network made it our top choice.
Why CITYUPTAKE?
We believe it is important to support worthy SRs on the TRON network but also recognize that many in the greater TRON community view the rewards from SRs as trivial and pursue higher returns by supporting other dapp projects such as TronBet.io, Eggies.World, or Beatzcoin to name but a few that are popular. As a result, worthy SR candidates such as CryptoGirls and Community Node struggle to maintain the requisite votes needed to hold a position in the top 27. From the start, Guardian Representatives (GRs) maintained the Tron Mainnet until there were enough SRs in the top 27 to remove the GRs. Yet, it seems that the GRs have returned in the form of Tron Foundation-backed Super Representatives. Research indicates that at least 13 of the top 27 SRs receive sole or considerable votes from sources within the Tron Foundation. Of the 8.3 billion TRX currently frozen and voting, according to one estimate, 34% of the TRX votes originate from the Tron Foundation¹. It is, of course, within the purview of the Tron Foundation to retain some control over their initiative, yet we would like to see diversification in the way of more community supported SRs. To that end, we hope to grow the SR portfolio so it can promote and support multiple worthy SRs to positions in the top 27.
The delegated proof of stake model encourages democratization within the TRON community and can reward those who are willing to build strategic relationships. As the chart above shows, we proudly support SRs that are working to improve the TRON Community and reward their voters. CITYUPTAKE strives to maintain neutrality as we seek to build token-holder value while simultaneously forging fruitful relationships. Our first air-drop tool was provided generously by the CryptoGirls, an SR candidate we would like to see in the Top 27 once more.
