CivFund Pilot Auctions Are Live
How to join the CivFund pilot
In the last Ama we looked together at the status of activities related to CivFund. The updates were significant as they took a deeper look at how the technology works and the results it enables (you can read the session directly from here).
But at the same time, the launch of the pilot for the use of CivFund was announced.
Let’s see together how it will work.
How to join CivFund pilot investors team
The first pilot of CivFund will be open to a small group of friendly investors. This will be an opportunity to both test how the technology works but also to be able to work together to improve the product and complete the whole process of building the decentralized fund together(UI design, withdrawal logic, reporting functionality). Everything in a shared manner and with the support of the community. So:
- The first group of testers will be made by 8 people.
- The investment fiche for each of them will be $10k (ten thousand dollars) in stablecoins.
- The work will be done in a dedicated telegram group.
- The 8 members will be selected through an bid system in which everyone can bid for a number of $CIV tokens they are willing to burn.
- You can make your bid on telegram sending the value to our community member ICEMAN in dm on telegram (@ Cimmo on telegram), that will take care to update the process. The amount of CIV token in the bid will be burn if you win the auction.
- The auction windows will be 72 hours: Start date Jan. 31st 6 pm (UTC) | End Date Feb 3rd 6 pm (UTC).
- As per the community’s choice, the 8 test members must be holders of the NFT Elite Emerald 2000 (which thus sees a new utility added in addition to staking on CivFarm). Those who do not have one can purchase one from the official opeansea page of Civilization.
- As per community’s choice, each NFT Elite Emerald that a user hold add 10% voting power to their CIV tokens bid.
- Confidentiality will be very important at this stage given the sensitivity of what we are doing, so it is only fair that there will also be a penalty for those who do not comply with this rule putting the work of the community at risk. If any of the participants share what is being done externally, violating the intellectual property of the community on the work being done they will not have their capital invested back at the end of the test and this will be automatically distributed to the community with a buy & burn of civ tokens on the market.
