Safer Construction Sites
Drones in construction are a way to prevent costly mistakes, provide a better project update, improve safety and collaboration, and most importantly, to be able to mitigate risks. This innovation is essential because it highlights and solves many construction issues that help construction workers, owners, and other stakeholders.
The drones will include a camera, geo-location sensor, and infrared sensors. To be able to take the most accurate and detailed representation of both the environment and the physical site previous to and throughout construction. The live outcome of the drones will provide better project updates; drones will function autonomously to deliver rich data to share with project owners. Drones will also play a role in improving safety. For example, drones can be used to better assist construction workers on to the best location to stand and when its best to take measurements and much more. Also, the drone will improve collaboration in having the whole construction team on the same page.
This innovation can be more significant if we can collect and save the data that the drone observers to be able to identify mitigation risks and to have future precaution plans. In my opinion, it will be a great tool that will enable users to identify construction challenges at all of the stages of construction. It will also act as the precaution to spot inaccuracies, and measure improvement during construction to better current and future construction projects.
