Boston created an online dashboard called CityScore, to gauge and track the government’s performance with several key performance indicators.
This platform establishes a system of accountability. With a quantified measurement taken daily, targets can be addressed and priorities set… all while under the citizen’s field of vision.
CityScore is providing this open-sourced framework for other governments to implement as well. Therefore spreading the availability of this information, in an easy-to-understand format, so improvements can be made and progress initiated.
This creates a portal for citizens to engage as constituents of the city and drive demand for better services and responsibility.
