In recent years, drone technology has developed rapidly and is used in various industries. In urban planning: drones can quickly build 3D models of cities through short-time automated scanning. Among the transportation systems: drones can monitor and evaluate traffic systems in real time to reduce traffic accidents and congestion. In public safety: In the event of an emergency, the drones can perform a wide range of monitoring and searching, and quickly transfer the situation on the spot to improve the efficiency of the reaction. Taken together, drones can help us understand the full picture of a city deeply, and thus further promotes the realization of smart cities.

I believe that the development of drones will promote the revolution of urban planning and start a VR era of urban planning. This does not only mean a VR city on a computer environment but a real-time status reproduction of urban resource distribution through this technology platform. Above all, we can comprehensively deal with all the information of a city and have a comprehensive logical construction of it, so that the various resources of the city can be deployed and optimized globally, not only in space but also in time. At the same time, with drone technology, we can reduce the waste of resources and overlap of functions. In conclusion, we can use it as a modern tool for realizing scientific decision-making in realizing urban overall planning and sustainable development.
