The Autonomous car will change our future transportation and lifestyle.
The autonomous car means that a vehicle can sense its environment and navigate without human input[1]. Nowadays, America, UK, and French have enacted laws authorizing driverless vehicles[2][3][4]. Also, Google, Tesla, and some major motor corporations have built some projects to research the autonomous vehicle[5]. From current development, the autonomous car project will deeply affect transportation and people’s future life.
The autonomous car can receive the signs of control center which monitors the city’s traffic, so it could significantly reduce the traffic congestion. Also, the driverless car can sense the environment and will not be affected by the driver’s physical condition, so it could improve the safety of traffic.
Recently, the safety of p2p ridesharing causes controversy[6][7]. However, the popularization of the autonomous car will reduce or even eliminate those concern. As there is no driver in the vehicle, so the passenger need not worry about the crime during the trip.
In my own view, if the technology of autonomous becomes developed, it could bring a lot of benefit to people’s life, which is not only in the transportation but also in the lifestyle.
