Blueberry Muffins
By Jackie Haigh
The significance of Blueberries in “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” is that they were first found near Mississippi and Indiana(Mississippi was one of the states that Huck started his journey and passed by)(Indiana is the state next to Illinois where Huck also passed by). Another name for blueberries are huckleberries. This relates to the book because the main character’s name is Huckleberry Finn. Also, it relates back to when Huck was exploring the island, and how he was living on plentiful berries. The berries represent freedom and how he was finally independent, and could fetch for himself.
