Classroom Champions has been a proud partner of Ask, Listen, Learn, a program of Responsibility.org, for the last 8 years. This month, we would like to congratulate our partners in celebrating their 20th anniversary!

For the past 20 years Ask, Listen, Learn has been working alongside educators, prevention experts and leading organizations to offer free digital programming to parents and educators with the goal of reducing underage drinking. The science and evidence-based information Ask, Listen, Learn provides helps guide adults through life-long conversations with kids about alcohol and their developing brain.

During Alcohol Responsibility Month in April, Classroom Champions’ SEL Foundations and Mentorship+ Curriculum focuses on healthy living, so kids can understand the positive impact of healthy choices and the negative consequences of risky behaviors, like drinking alcohol underage. The partnership with Ask, Listen, Learn, enables our growing community of Classroom Champions educators to facilitate important conversations about these risky behaviors.

Classroom Champions has released four new Mindful Minutes in support of our partnership with Ask, Listen, Learn. Mindful Minutes are a collection of quick, one-minute videos that provide strategies for kids when they face challenging moments. Hear how Paralympic Track & Field gold medalist, Deja Young, talks about the power of the word “yet” or get the scoop on how Olympian Skier, Rosie Brennan, listens to her gut when trying to make hard decisions.

Preventing underage drinking will require all of us to work together as a team — parents, students and educators. Let’s do this together and help kids say YES to a healthy lifestyle and NO to underage drinking!
