Classroom Champions is headed to Orlando, Florida, to participate in FETC (the Florida Educational Technology Conference) from January 25–28. Will you be there?

If you’re not familiar with FETC, it is the second-largest edtech conference in the U.S., drawing more than 10,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 80 countries. With last year being virtual, conference organizers are expecting a record number of in-person visitors and exhibitors, topping 2019’s attendance. The conference has long reached far beyond the Sunshine State, and next year will take to the road to host the 2023 conference in New Orleans, LA.

“FETC has been supporting education teams for 41 years — and we’ll continue to provide essential guidance to help you thrive in today’s evolving world of education.” - FETC.org

FETC draws a mix of classroom teachers, school and district administrators, media specials, and edtech coordinators, all passionate about how technology can support K-12 education. The agenda is packed full of impactful presentations and workshops, with keynotes by Shawn Achor and Primavera De Filippi, plus a Tech Share LIVE! panel of the ever-popular Adam Bellow, Kathy Schrock, Leslie Fisher, and Hall Davidson. And the Expo Hall is often likened to DisneyWorld itself — a cacophony of edtech newbies and favorites showcasing their latest offerings of support for educators and schools (this year more than 400 companies are participating!)

Classroom Champions is especially excited to be back meeting with educational leaders and practitioners in Florida, especially after the last two years, which have accelerated the adoption of edtech but also caused great tech fatigue amongst educators and students alike. As a silver lining, in many ways, the past two years have renewed the partnership between schools and homes, allowing for collaborative efforts to bridge any learning gaps and strengthen a child’s social and emotional learning.

Do come by booth #4442 to see the latest video-rich curricular materials we have, showcasing real-world examples of SEL from world-class athletes. Our athlete mentors personify how social and emotional learning is a lifelong journey, helping lead to success both in the classroom and in life. We will be raffling off a Schools Solution Pack, which includes 6 teacher memberships to our year-long SEL Foundations Curriculum for grades K-8. Plus we have some fun swag including a poster that you can bring back to your school.

Plus, we are proud to announce our partnership with NBC Olympics in launching Champion Mindset! We collaborated with the amazing teams at BrainPOP, Epic!, GoNoodle, and Sports Engine to create original content around the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games starting next week.

Anyone in the US can find brand new videos and downloadables featuring competing athletes, Chris Mazdzer, Dan Cnossen, Elana Meyers Taylor, and Andrew Kurka (did you see his Sports Illustrated cover?). Simply register with your email to access this trove of free content for students to use at school or at home.

Do come visit Classroom Champions in the Expo Hall at booth #4442, and we can showcase this newly launched program, running now through March — don’t forget to check out the Champion Mindset giveaway with prize packs’ value totaling $10,000.

If you can’t travel to #FETC, do follow along on social by searching for #NotAtFETC. Many educators and organizers will be sharing their thoughts on blogs and in edpubs sharing the best of what they saw and learned. Also, FETC hosts Twitter Chats each Tuesday with educeleb hosts (#FETCChats).

Also, always feel free to schedule a quick chat or dashboard demo with one of our team members whenever best fits your busy schedule; simply email Monique@ClassroomChampions.org or Krista@ClassroomChamppions.org.

Dive into the expert advice in the presentations, steep yourself in innovation at the Startup Pavillion, and bond with other like-minded education during the numerous community events throughout #FETC week. Enjoy!
