Our feet have just about touched the ground after the amazing Bosch Connected World (BCW) conference and the Bosch Connected Experience (BCX) hackathon!

BCX billboard, with a car and logistics truck. How appropriate!

It was a landmark week for Clause, and Legal-Tech in general, with a number of important firsts. Not least of which was that we demo’ed Clause and Accord Project technology live on stage to 3,500 people!

Lots of preparation, some nerves, but it all worked flawlessly on the day! Kudos to the whole Clause team, but especially Matt Roberts who did a lot of the heavy lifting.

Demo rehearsal with Dirk Slama and Stefan Hartung from Bosch

The demo executed an Open Source Accord Project Smart Clause Template that calculated the fees for trucks driving in platoons in real-time. GPS tracks for a platoon and a truck were replayed, updating a map display, calculating distance travelled, and generating a realtime invoice.

Accord Project Cicero was successfully used as the Open Source execution engine.

The template was integrated with the Xero online accounting package to generate an invoice between the Platooning as a Service company and the logistics company.

We successfully created the demo in a couple of days (including the maps integration) from high-level business requirements from the Bosch team.

Several BCX hackathon teams successfully used Accord Project and Clause technology to build their own solutions, including creating their own templates and executing them on Clause.

Here are two of the great solutions that the teams created with the Clause platform.

Thank you again to the wonderful Bosch team, especially Dirk Slama and Antonio Martinez. We can’t wait for next year!
