Honeycomb Marketplace adds three new data providers: ipstack, Aviation Edge and Daneel

Today we are happy to announce an additional three new API providers to the Honeycomb API marketplace: ipstack, Aviation Edge and Daneel. With the addition of these three providers, Honeycomb’s data provider count is now up to 15, translating to hundreds of high-value endpoints for smart contracts to connect to.

About ipstack
Ipstack is one of the world’s leading IP geolocation platforms, offering a powerful, real-time IP to geolocation API capable of looking up accurate location data and assessing security threats originating from risky IP addresses. Results are delivered within milliseconds in JSON or XML format. They are the trusted IP geolocation data provider for companies such as Microsoft, AirBnB and Samsung.

About Aviation Edge
Aviation Edge collects flight and airport data from hundreds of sources, including official authorities as well as other established industry partners such as airlines and airports and compiles this data in their extensive database. The correctness of Aviation Edge data is assured by a combination of software as well as manual checks.

IP Geolocation Data
Ipstack Geolocation API provides its users with accurate location data based on IP address alone with currency, timezone, connection info (ISP hostname and ASN info) and security data (detect proxies, crawlers and tor) modules included. Ipstack currently supports more than 2 million unique locations in over 200,000 cities across the globe.

Flight Data
Through the Aviation Edge Flight Tracker API, smart contracts will be able to connect to live flight data, tracking flights and all their relevant information. Since the data is live, the updates happen within short intervals of just a few minutes. The data is collected through ADS-B systems as well as the use of flight schedules and airline partner data. The Flight Tracker API includes data points such as: geography (flight location information), speed (vertical and horizontal speed of aircraft), departure and arrival information, as well as airline and aircraft information.

Airport Timetables Data
The Aviation Edge Airport Timetables API provides smart contract developers with the flight schedules and timetables of all airports and airlines around the world. Aviation Edge sources this data directly from the airports and airlines when available, or through their partner aviation data providers. The Airport Timetables API includes data points such as: status of the flight (active, scheduled, landed, cancelled, incident, diverted, redirected), Departure/arrival location (terminal, gate) take-off information (delay, the scheduled, estimated and actual time on runway and that of departure/arrival), airline and flight number.

Crypto Market Sentiment
From more than 500 information sources and 2 million data points collected every day, the Daneel algorithms, machine learning models, and the power of IBM Watson process and analyze what people are saying about cryptocurrencies and provide each currency with a sentiment score through the Daneel API.

Through the Honeycomb API marketplace, these APIs will be available to Chainlink node operators via per-call pricing and serverless external adapters. New users can expect, within minutes, to connect their node to any API listed on Honeycomb.
