CLC Group is happy to announce the addition of two new APIs to the Honeycomb API Marketplace. Data Sports Group and Tatum Blockchain API are listed on Honeycomb, and their data is ready to be included in Chainlinked smart contracts right now.

About Data Sports Group
Data Sports Group provide rich sports data feeds, combining live and historical data. They supply the widest catalogue of sports data and statistics covering 25 sports, and track over 5000 competitions. The API can be used to obtain live scores & in-game match timelines, match statistics, head to head and team & player information from their wide catalogue of sports. Simple & standard API endpoints are provided for all sports. Data Sports Group will also provide data for League of Legends Tournaments to support the growing market in e-sports and enable interesting smart contract use cases around this.

Potential uses
Provably fair betting on game outcomes is a likely high demand use case for smart contracts. Participants are guaranteed their payout if the conditions of their bet are satisfied, eliminating counterparty risk. This can help make placing a wager on the outcome of a football or League of Legends match fair, and will help prevent people losing out to dishonest bookkeepers. Another interesting use case could be a performance based tokenisation of a football club, paying dividends per goal scored, or even used to compensate fans in the event of a run of poor results.

About Tatum Blockchain API
Tatum Blockchain API allows developers to interact with 14 different blockchains/tokens, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Libra, Maker and Tether. Their innovative design allows interactions with the blockchains offered, without needing public sharing of private keys, using an open sourced middleware solution. Tatum’s partners include the Blockchain Chamber of Commerce, and iFinancial, who supply software solutions to banks and other worldwide financial institutions.

Potential uses
Listing the Tatum API allows cross-chain functionality via the Tatum platform. We will not be able to offer any of the functionality using private keys over Ethereum until Chainlink is able to utilise trusted execution environments. However, we will support the other API endpoints, enabling many use cases including querying blockchain transactions, block height, and sending unsigned transactions. This will allow interesting use cases, such as decentralised blockchain roll back insurance for large retail outlets worried about losing out on payments in the event of a reorganisation of the accepted cryptocurrency.

Through the Honeycomb API Marketplace, these APIs will be made available to Chainlink-enabled smart contract creators via per-call pricing, over our maintained, reliable, external adapters. Developers can expect, within minutes, to connect their smart contract to any API listed on Honeycomb.
