My Fear of Manifestation
And how overcoming it gave me peace and happiness

I found out about it on TikTok, with gen-Z young adults promising I’ll be able to finally have my crush text me, get a raise, or just live my best life. Celebrities and renowned people like Nikola Tesla, Oprah, Jim Carrey, Lady Gaga, and plenty others swear by it so it really must work right?
As a burnout, working college student, any “like hack” is always welcome. However, when I started going a little bit into it, I was resistant to give it a go.
Here’s the thing: I did believe it could actually work.
It was the process that scared me.
It’s not that the techniques are difficult or that they require an extraordinary amount of money/materials/magic in order to manifest, but they all insist in one aspect: you attract what you put out in the universe, so you have to start behaving and feeling as if your desires have already come into reality. No, it doesn’t sound too hard, and as an active daydreamer it shouldn’t have represented a problem.
