The Clearbanc team are incredibly excited to announce that for a second time, our Co-Founder Michele Romanow has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women: Trendsetters and Trailblazers by the Women Executives Network.

BIO: Tech titan Michele Romanow is a serial entrepreneur who started three companies before her 28th birthday. The youngest-ever entrepreneur to join CBC’s hit show Dragons’ Den, Romanow is the co-founder of e-commerce platforms Buytopia.ca and SnapSaves (acquired by Groupon). Her latest venture, Clearbanc, provides financial services to freelancers and independent contractors. She is a two-time Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 winner.

EARLY AND LASTING LESSON: Society rewards great ideas no matter what background, age or gender they come from.

HOW TO ACHIEVE GENDER PARITY AND DIVERSITY: We need more female entrepreneurs to be role models. In a large study by the Canadian Entrepreneurship Initiative, people were asked to name the top Canadian entrepreneurs. Not a single female featured in the top 10.

POWER SONG: Thriller (Michael Jackson).
