The Bufficorn #buidls on clearmatics’ Ion Interoperability framework & the Autonity platform

We are Clearmatics and this is our first ETHDenver. However, you might have met us at ETHSF in the fall.

We’ve heard so many good things about what’s coming up in Denver and it’s clear the organisers are going to be putting on something special. It’s ridiculous, but ETHDenver is free for everyone who wants to participate. Yes, you heard it free… and you can be there too. So make sure you apply ASAP as the last round of applications closes on January 31st 2019.

Where do we come from?

We’re based in London and our international team will be ‘Brexiting’ early to be with you all.* (*Note — This is not a political statement.*)

What we do and what are we working on?

We are designing, building and deploying Ethereum-based peer-to-peer platforms for financial market participants to transact seamlessly and securely without unnecessary intermediaries. We call our approach “decentralised automation”, which combines cryptography, consensus protocols and economic mechanism design to push towards a future state of dFMI (distributed Financial Market Infrastructure).

This year we’re working on a bunch of projects that we hope we can #buidl with you all at ETHDenver. Specifically, two are at the top of our list that we want you to contribute to.

  1. #BUIDL-ION — First, #buidling with Ion, our general interoperability framework, allowing state transitions between any chain with the ETHDenver Community.
  2. #BUIDL-AUTONITY — Secondly, we’re launching Autonity. Autonity is our IBFT geth based Ethereum client. We want to explore how we can go about connecting the Enterprise Ethereum world with the public space.

If either of the above projects piques your interest, hit us up before the event by following us on Twitter (https://twitter.com/clearmatics) and GitHub (https://github.com/clearmatics), joining our Gitter (https://gitter.im/clearmatics) community, as well as following us on Medium (https://medium.com/clearmatics).

We would love to connect before we all fly out — it’ll make that first eye contact across a bustling ETHDenver so much easier :).

Who from Clearmatics is coming to Denver?

We’re flying a top notch team in from London to be with you all, led by our CTO, George Ornbo.

George leads the tech team here in London, and he’s brought a few of our blockchain engineers, Youssef Azzaoui, Duarte Aragao, Chris Chung, Max Grabner and Andrés Monteoliva to show you what we’ve been #buidling. We also have our product strategist, Sara Feenan, coming out along with me, Christophe MacIntosh, communications and community lead here at Clearmatics.

We’re lucky enough to be sponsoring the event this year so we’ll be keeping ourselves busy holding workshops, partaking in panels, providing support to hackers working on our tech stack, meeting and networking with people who might be interested in working with us… and learning about lots of other cool stuff in the space.

What are we looking forward to?

In one word, everything.

In three sentences…

  • We’re delighted to be in the beautiful city of Denver with the chance to catch up with old friends.
  • We’re really excited about being able to showcase Ion, our interoperability framework, and Autonity, our IBFT geth based Ethereum client. We can’t wait to get people to buidl on our very own tech stack.
  • But… We’re most looking forward to networking with the community and connecting with a whole host of awesome, hard-working and like-minded new friends.
