Accounting for Programmers

This was a quick informal session I did internally at ClearTax to explain the basics of accounting to our team. You can read the notes online at GitHub.
I’m no accountant. I just find it a fascinating field, and think that it’s an area where everyone should know the basics at least. This presentation explains accounting specifically to programmers, in a way I personally understand it.
Note: All the examples use ledger-cli or hledger. I have also provided links to a lot of references that I personally found useful while learning about this stuff.
