Cleverea’s birth, the first post of many

Hello world!

4 months ago we took the bold determination to quit our jobs and start something new. Something cool, something exciting and something… BETTER!

4 months in which we have had the possibility of meeting tons of people, start-ups, established businesses and partners.

4 months of ideas (brilliantly stupid or stupidly brilliant), brainstorming sessions and a lot of meetings.

4 months where we have laid out the foundations of CLEVEREA, its vision, team, tech stack, product roadmap, design, UX/UI, risk management framework, regulation lay-out, distribution partners…

But… what is Cleverea?

What made us quit our promising full-time jobs? To build what? We truly believe insurance can be better, easier, more transparent and sexier; and the industry is about to be disrupted. Full stop. Vision: become the go to place for first-time insurance buyers disrupting the way insurance is perceived, distributed and used.

At Cleverea we aim to build a full-stack insurer driven by customer’s needs, engagement and satisfaction. With innovation within our DNA we will bring retail insurance to a whole different level, so sexy that you might even buy it as a gift for a friend. Innovation both in terms of new risk coverages, and completely re-designed customer experiences of existing products in the market.

Soon we’ll be launching to the market 3 travel-related insurance products (many more to come — not necessarily related with travelling 😊): flight delay insurance, missed connection insurance and baggage insurance. We are convinced you’ll love them, as we have designed them from scratch with our users’ experience as our first priority. Our products have a bold value proposition and we hope it will catch your attention.

What you can expect from our blog

From now on we we’ll be posting frequently. Goal will be triple:

  1. Unfold our history as we create it, step by step.
  2. To help consumers navigate such a big and ancient industry and yet so unknown and misunderstood by many.
  3. Take a step back from the hustle and bustle of our day to day and reflect on both our achievements and mistakes.
