Chocolate Covered Bananas

A Great Healthy Summer Treat!

This treat is perfect for the family during a hot summer day or to fill that sweet tooth with something healthier!

Ingredients:

  • 3 bananas
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1–2 Tablespoons coconut oil
  • Topping of choice: cereal, nuts, sprinkles, freese dried fruit, pretzles etc.
  • 6 popsicle sticks

Preparation:

  • Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper
  • Cut bananas in half, through the middle
  • Put popsicle sticks through the bottom
  • Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil together, in the microwave in 30-second increments or a double boiler, stirring until completly melted
  • Carfully dip each banana in chocolate until almost fully covered
  • Place each on the baking sheet after dipping and immediatly add toppings
  • Put the tray in the freezer for a few minutes for the chocolate to harden or for a few hours if you want frozen chocolate covered bananas.
  • Enjoy!
