During the holidays, it is all about family, friends and good food. When I think of the holidays, the first thing I think of is food!

These cookies are good for holidays, special occasions, or anytime you are craving some good sugar cookies.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ½ Cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¾ Cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt (optional)
  • ¾ Cup oil (canola, vegetable, grapeseed, avocado)
  • ½ Cup orange juice
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sprinkles and frosting optional

Preparation:

  • Preheat your oven to 350˚F (180˚C)
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • In a medium/large-sized bowl, beat together (with a mixer or by hand) oil, orange juice, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Slowly add dry ingredients into the liquid until dough forms (you may add more flour if the dough is too sticky).
  • For best results, cover the bowl of dough and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Prepare a greased baking sheet (you can also use parchment paper).
  • Flour a surface and roll out dough to about ¼ inch thickness and cut out cookies to the desired shape.
  • Place cookies on the prepared tray ½ inch apart.
  • Bake cookies in the oven for 8–10 minutes or until lightly golden brown on the bottom.
  • Let cookies cool for around 10 minutes and decorate as desired.

Depending on the size of your cookie cutters, this recipe can make enough cookies for your entire family and friends to share!

These cookies are delicious and dairy-free! I hope you enjoy!
