Sausage with Peppers Dinner

An Easy and Fast Delicious Dinner!

My father makes this dish every so often and, when he does, it is a crowd-pleaser! This dinner has a few steps and is so delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 package of your favorite sausage sliced into discs (within ⅛-inch to ¼-inch in thickness)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 onion, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • A drizzle of honey (optional)

Preparation:

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil on medium heat.
  • In the hot skillet, add cut sausages into the pan and cook until brown on both sides for about 4 to 6 minutes.
  • Remove the cooked sausages from the pan and set them aside.
  • Turn heat up to medium-high, and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, the peppers and onions into the pan.
  • Cook until the onion and pepper begin to crisp and get brown, about 4 to 6 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic into the pan and cook for about 1 minute until the garlic browns.
  • Lower the heat and add the cooked sausages back in.
  • Cook an additional minute until everything is heated up and well combined.
  • Dizzle with honey (optional)
  • Enjoy!

Serves about 4–5 people
